Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between darren pressley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, darren pressley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Lucas!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Lucas misses.
pressley ducks right into an uppercut from Lucas.
Nice defenses there by pressley.
No joy there for pressley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lucas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lucas tries to clinch up but pressley circles away and keeps his distance.
pressley tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
pressley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lucas moves away.
A clash of legs there as Lucas blocks the low kick.
Lucas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lucas cracks pressley with a good jab.
It looks like darren pressley has been cut.
pressley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lucas missing with a left hand there. pressley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lucas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lucas wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for darren pressley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lucas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lucas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by pressley.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lucas throws out a powerful jab.
pressley swats away the attempt to clinch by Lucas.
pressley gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for pressley. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Lucas scores with a crisp jab that stopped pressley in his tracks.

Lucas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but pressley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lucas steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! pressley is out on his feet! Lucas sets himself and nearly takes pressley's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
