Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Burke Enstock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Woods!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enstock avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Woods moves away from the strike by Enstock.
Burke Enstock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Woods walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Enstock checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Enstock lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Woods shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Enstock scores with a three punch combo!
Woods walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Woods finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Enstock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Woods can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Enstock connects with a nice short shot to Woods's temple.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Enstock closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Woods to the mat! Woods manages to get full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Enstock's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Woods escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Enstock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Woods has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Enstock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Enstock cracks Woods with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Woods lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Enstock has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Enstock and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Enstock is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Enstock bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Woods's head backwards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Enstock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Woods.
Woods attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Enstock lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Enstock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well Enstock has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
