Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Artigo 157 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nogueira circles away.
Shamrock misses with a wild combination.
Nogueira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Shamrock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nogueira is on top in guard.

Nogueira is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Nogueira drops back looking for a leg! Shamrock is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shamrock manages to kick Nogueira off! Nogueira jumps back into Shamrock's guard.
Nogueira is fighting to break Shamrock's control of his arms but Shamrock is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Nogueira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shamrock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shamrock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shamrock!

Shamrock working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Shamrock thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Shamrock wants to control but Nogueira is keeping him busy.
Nogueira tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shamrock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nogueira is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Shamrock is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Nogueira is trying to get back to full guard.
Nogueira is not content to let Shamrock control the position.

Shamrock is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nogueira has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shamrock is looking to defend but Nogueira has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shamrock! Nogueira pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shamrock taps out and this one is all over!
