Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tran tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Denny Jr fails in his attempt to clinch.
Denny Jr tries to clinch up but Tran circles away and keeps his distance.
Tran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tran changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Denny Jr tries to avoid it but Tran manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Denny Jr to the ground. Denny Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tran looks for a takedown but Denny Jr sprawls well.

Tran swats away the attempt to clinch by Denny Jr.
Tran throws a sloppy head kick and Denny Jr moves out of range easily.

It looks like Johnny Tran has been cut.

Horrible takedown by Denny Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Tran which made him look bad.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Denny Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Denny Jr pushes Tran off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Tran had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Denny Jr is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tran Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Denny Jr's back instead.

I really don't envy Denny Jr right now.

Tran is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Denny Jr has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Denny Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Denny Jr moves into range and clinches up with Tran.
Tran is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Denny Jr gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Denny Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice combo by Denny Jr! Oh, that's hurt him - Tran falls to the canvas and Denny Jr follows him into side control.
Tran is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Denny Jr stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tran is still on wobbly legs! Can Denny Jr finish him?

Tran seems to have recovered his senses.
