Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleki Oliweli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Destroy Everything. Kaleki Oliweli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo shoots in for a double leg but Oliweli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Oliweli cracks Russo with a right hand to the side of the head. Russo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Oliweli swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Russo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oliweli circles away quickly and effectively. Left hook, right uppercut from Oliweli. Russo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Russo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oliweli misses with a body shot.
Oliweli dips to his left and cracks Russo with an uppercut! Oliweli is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Russo. Russo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oliweli swivels and escapes. A slow jab from Russo misses its intended target. Oliweli takes a swing at Russo's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Oliweli. Russo does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Oliweli displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Russo. Russo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Russo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oliweli throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Russo scores with a hook. Oliweli throws a shot from downtown. Russo moves away and avoids it. Oliweli throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Russo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Oliweli connects with a good right hand that stumbles Russo. Russo circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Russo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oliweli sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Russo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Russo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Russo is trying to control. Oliweli wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oliweli tries to roll over but Russo keeps him under control. Russo wants to take a breather but Oliweli is having none of it. Russo moves nicely into side control. Russo is staying tight to Oliweli's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jimmy Russo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. A telegraphed right hand from Oliweli misses the target. Russo moves out of range of the strikes. Kaleki Oliweli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Russo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Oliweli in his tracks.

Oliweli swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Oliweli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Russo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Russo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oliweli defends it nicely. Russo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Jimmy Russo has been cut. Oliweli connects with a crisp jab. Russo shoots for a double leg takedown but Oliweli sprawls well. He's pushed Russo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Russo gets the takedown into side control. Russo happy to just control the position for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Russo wants to control but Oliweli is keeping him busy. Oliweli is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Russo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oliweli lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Russo backs up against the cage.
Russo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Oliweli throws a right and a left that both miss. Oliweli throws a body punch but Russo moves out of range. Oliweli steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Russo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliweli throws a shot from downtown. Russo moves away and avoids it. Oliweli misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Russo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Oliweli tries to move into range but Russo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Russo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Oliweli with a jab. Oliweli lands with a shot to the body. Kaleki Oliweli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A combination from Oliweli does no damage. Russo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Oliweli on the side of the head. Oliweli throws a one two combo.

Russo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Russo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Oliweli is letting Russo control him for a moment. Russo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

and Russo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Russo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Oliweli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Oliweli throws a body punch but Russo moves out of range. Oliweli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Russo moves away. Oliweli is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Russo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Oliweli shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Russo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Nice takedown defense from Oliweli. No joy for Russo on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Russo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Russo misses with a series of wild punches.
A punch lands to the side of Oliweli 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kaleki Oliweli seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Russo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Russo controlling from the full mount. Oliweli working to try and regain half guard.
Russo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Russo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oliweli is looking to escape. Jimmy Russo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Oliweli tries to hold on but Russo pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Russo controlling from the full mount. Russo misses with a head shot. Russo controlling his opponent. Russo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Oliweli manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kaleki Oliweli is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Oliweli feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Russo's calf.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Russo showed his dominance in that final round. I think Oliweli has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
