Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jun Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Bobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Kimura! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricky Bobby! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobby fails to land the takedown. Bobby has a takedown stuffed. Bobby fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jun Kimura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Bobby. Kimura shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kimura postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kimura accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bobby looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bobby looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimura advances to half guard. Bobby is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bobby looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bobby is looking for a sweep. Kimura is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobby looking for submissions off his back. Kimura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kimura is thwarting Bobby's attempts to control the position. Kimura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bobby's head. Kimura trying to control the pace. Bobby is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kimura frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bobby is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kimura working for a guillotine from mount but Bobby is in no mood to give up. Bobby is trying desperately to improve position. Bobby manages to regain half guard. Good work. Bobby manages to get to full guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kimura keeping full guard, as Bobby tries to pass. Bobby passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kimura sneaks back into half guard. Bobby wants to control but Kimura is keeping him busy. Kimura moves into full guard.
Kimura has his foot on Bobby's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bobby works his way back into a safe position though. Kimura is breathing heavily.

Bobby stands up out of Kimura's guard for a moment - Kimura manages to land a nice upkick. Bobby got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bobby has managed to get both his arms back between Kimura's legs - danger averted. Bobby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kimura swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kimura keeping moving, preventing Bobby from controlling successfully. Kimura manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bobby manages to get himself to full guard.
Kimura tries to free his leg and advance position but Bobby is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jun Kimura dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kimura tries for a takedown but Bobby circles away easily and Bobby counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kimura! Bobby with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Bobby forces the positional change into back control. Kimura tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kimura regains half guard. Kimura gets back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bobby drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bobby jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bobby wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kimura throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bobby was covering up waiting for the punch and Kimura finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kimura passes Bobby's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kimura is working for a submission of some sort.

Bobby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kimura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kimura preventing the sweep. Kimura is working Bobby over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kimura looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bobby working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kimura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kimura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kimura advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bobby tries to improve position but can't. Kimura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kimura is putting a hurting on Bobby here, landing some big shots from side control. Kimura working the ground and pound but Bobby is defending the strikes. Bobby is not content to let Kimura control the position. Bobby tries to bench press Kimura off him but Kimura keeps the position. Kimura wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bobby, who protects the arm well. Kimura trying to control the position but Bobby is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jun Kimura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bobby wants to free his trapped foot but Kimura is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bobby passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kimura! Kimura is squirming around, avoiding Bobby's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kimura is looking to improve his position but Bobby isn't that keen on the idea. Bobby avoids the attempt from Kimura to control. Bobby looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kimura tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bobby tries to control but Kimura wriggling away. Kimura defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bobby. Bobby jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kimura is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kimura and Bobby has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Jun Kimura clearly takes that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kimura looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bobby! Kimura postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bobby looks a forlorn figure.

Bobby slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Bobby looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kimura trying to pass the guard but Bobby defending well. Kimura throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Bobby tries to reverse the position but Kimura maintains control. Kimura can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bobby is looking to escape. Kimura pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Kimura raining down shots from the mount! Bobby slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Bobby is staying active underneath Kimura, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kimura missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kimura misses with a head shot. Bobby uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Bobby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bobby has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kimura has passed into side control.

Bobby tries to buck Kimura off but Kimura is having none of it. Kimura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bobby takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Bobby is trying to get back to half guard. Bobby is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kimura has an Americana. Bobby didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kimura is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kimura hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
