Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Miyagi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keith Ronald Kernspecht!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kernspecht looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kernspecht misses with a wild combination.
Kernspecht throws a series of punches but Miyagi avoids them all with ease.
Miyagi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kernspecht napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Miyagi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kernspecht wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miyagi moves into full mount!
Kernspecht is trying to stand but he's just given Miyagi his back.
Miyagi scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Miyagi has the hooks in. Kernspecht is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Miyagi is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Miyagi gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Miyagi gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Miyagi apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Miyagi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kernspecht looks gassed!
Kernspecht is trying to stand back up but Miyagi is controlling him
Miyagi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Miyagi lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kernspecht hang on?
Miyagi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kernspecht's face.
Miyagi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kernspecht is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Miyagi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kernspecht is trying to stand.
Miyagi is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Miyagi looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Miyagi is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kernspecht can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Miyagi looking to isolate an arm here. Kernspecht doesn't see it coming and as Miyagi extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Miyagi!
