Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rermes Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jenson StMarx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying StMarx's choice of entrance music: Skank Monkey. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in and bounces StMarx off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
StMarx has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
StMarx wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
StMarx looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
StMarx looks gassed!
Gracie postures up in StMarx's guard and throws a big left but StMarx blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but StMarx has wrist control.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! StMarx is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and StMarx manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into StMarx's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but StMarx is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
StMarx is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
Gracie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Gracie is in all sorts of trouble here.
StMarx takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Well, with StMarx on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Gracie is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Gracie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! StMarx is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and StMarx manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into StMarx's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

StMarx is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracie thows a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Gracie passes StMarx's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
StMarx is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
