Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sej Tankain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sej Tankain is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sej Tankain!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tankain changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walter fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Walter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tankain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tankain sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tankain decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Walter, up you get!
Walter swinging wildly here.
Tankain shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Walter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Tankain trying to control the position from guard on top but Walter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tankain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walter is keeping the position for now.
Tankain controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Walter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Walter tries to get out of the position.
Walter wants to stand but Tankain is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tankain trying to control but Walter is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Walter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tankain's guard.
Walter wants to control from the top but Tankain keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walter thows a big elbow that misses.
Tankain has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Walter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walter prevents Tankain from getting back to his feet.

Tankain stops Walter from standing up.

Walter pulls Tankain in close to prevent any damage.
Walter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tankain on the ground.
Tankain works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Walter kicks off Tankain and gets to his feet.
Walter connects with a right hand. Tankain shakes it off.
Walter slips a jab from Tankain.
Tankain looks gassed!
Walter shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tankain is holding on to half guard well.

Tankain trying to control but Walter postures up.
Walter stalling.
Walter is trying to control. Tankain wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Walter sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tankain defending well though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sej Tankain will probably get the nod.
That's time! Walter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tankain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Walter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Walter misses with the ground and pound.
Tankain tries to buck Walter off but Walter is having none of it.
Walter decides to stand back up.
Tankain avoids the head kick by Walter.
Walter swings for the body but Tankain moves out of range.
Tankain steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walter.
Walter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tankain!
Walter wants to control the pace but Tankain is squirming around nicely.
Tankain tries to reverse the position but Walter maintains control.
Tankain is breathing heavily.

Walter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tankain is looking to escape.
Walter controlling the pace for now.
Tankain is trying desperately to improve position.
Walter fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Tankain bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Tankain pushing down on Walter's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tankain wants to free his trapped foot but Walter is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Walter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tankain's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tankain's back!
Walter is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Walter is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Walter gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Walter gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Walter apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Tankain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Walter tries to close the distance and clinch but Tankain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Walter gets the takedown into side control.

Tankain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Walter is controlling him well.
Walter laying and praying for a moment but Tankain takes advantage and regains half guard.
Well, if Walter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Walter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tankain wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Walter is looking to take a break and control but Tankain is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Walter tries to stand but can't do so whilst Tankain controls his leg.
Walter is nestled in close to Tankain, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Walter is keen to just control but Tankain is a slippery customer.
Walter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Walter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tankain for as long as he can get away with.
Walter wants to take a breather but Tankain is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Walter looking to sit in guard and control but Tankain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tankain wants to control from the top but Walter keeps moving.
Walter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Peter Walter just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Walter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tankain looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tankain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tankain wants to control but Walter postures up.
Walter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tankain to his feet.
Walter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Walter gets the takedown into side control.
Walter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Walter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Walter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tankain keeps working.

Walter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Walter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Walter wants to stand but Tankain is controlling his posture from full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Walter wants to control from the top but Tankain keeps moving.
Walter stands and steps away. Tankain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Walter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tankain was covering up waiting for the punch and Walter finishes the takedown easily into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Walter showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Walter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
