Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. Nelson Rodriguez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Knott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nelson Rodriguez! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knott misses with a kick to the body.
Rodriguez tries for a takedown but Knott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Some wild striking there from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez throws a nice looking combination but Knott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Knott looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rodriguez! Rodriguez's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rodriguez is looking to escape. Rodriguez is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Rodriguez looks gassed! Knott looking to control but Rodriguez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Knott is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rodriguez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodriguez bucks Knott off and manages to get back to his feet! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knott. Rodriguez misses with a jab, cross combination.

Horrible takedown by Knott or perhaps it was just good defense by Rodriguez which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Knott. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knott dives in and grabs Rodriguez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes down on Knott's head and hops out. Knott throws a head kick but Rodriguez moves out of range.
Rodriguez with a lazy takedown attempt and Knott counters with a lovely straight right hand! Knott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rodriguez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Knott somewhat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knott closes the distance and clinches up with Rodriguez, looking for a takedown. Knott pushes Rodriguez against the cage but Rodriguez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rodriguez throws a combination that misses and Knott counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Rodriguez has Knott pressed against the cage, preventing Knott from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Knott tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Rodriguez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Knott counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rodriguez! Rodriguez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Knott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground. Knott trying to control but Rodriguez is having none of it. Rodriguez is trying to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knott is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Knott jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rodriguez walks away with a smile on his face. Knott gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. No joy there for Rodriguez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rodriguez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rodriguez pushes Knott off and scrambles back to his feet.
Knott digs a good body shot into Rodriguez's ribs. Rodriguez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Knott moves into the clinch successfully.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knott tries to improve position but can't. Rodriguez has hold of Knott's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Knott seems comfortable defending it but Rodriguez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Knott is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Knott is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rodriguez couldn't care less - he's delighted!
