Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Nobonenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt comes to the cage accompanied by Tori Amos-Sleeps with Butterflies. Nobonenko has chosen Fire Head as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Wyatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yuri Nobonenko! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wyatt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Wyatt shoots for a takedown but Nobonenko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wyatt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nobonenko as he avoids it easily. Nobonenko scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Wyatt scores with a takedown into Nobonenko's guard. Wyatt working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nobonenko's head. Nobonenko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nobonenko is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Wyatt! Wyatt is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Nobonenko manages to capitalize on a mistake by Wyatt to take his back! Nobonenko seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Wyatt's chin but Wyatt turns very nicely into Nobonenko's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Wyatt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wyatt content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Nobonenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wyatt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wyatt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nobonenko keeping full guard, as Wyatt tries to pass. Nobonenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Wyatt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Wyatt with the ground and pound but Nobonenko uses the opportunity to regain guard. Nobonenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Leo Wyatt dominated that round. That's time! Wyatt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nobonenko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Wyatt shoots in and bounces Nobonenko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wyatt wants to control from the top but Nobonenko keeps moving. Wyatt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nobonenko swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nobonenko is trying to keep Wyatt in close.
Nobonenko has his foot on Wyatt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wyatt works his way back into a safe position though. Nobonenko keeping moving, preventing Wyatt from controlling successfully. Wyatt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nobonenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wyatt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nobonenko is breathing heavily. Nobonenko wants to control the position but Wyatt says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Wyatt missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Still in half guard, Wyatt seems content to control. Nobonenko moves into full guard.

Wyatt scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Nobonenko tries to roll over but Wyatt keeps him under control. Wyatt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wyatt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nobonenko to the mat! Nobonenko manages to get full guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wyatt landing strikes. Nobonenko can't do much from the bottom here. Wyatt scores with punches from side control. Nobonenko throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Wyatt wants to take a breather but Nobonenko manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Wyatt. Wyatt works over Nobonenko with some ground and pound from guard. Wyatt controls from within his opponent's guard. Wyatt tries to free his leg and advance position but Nobonenko is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Wyatt dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Nobonenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nobonenko trying to control but Wyatt is working from the bottom. Wyatt controls Nobonenko momentarily but Nobonenko frees himself. Wyatt is looking to stand up but Nobonenko isn't so interested in that idea. Wyatt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nobonenko on the ground. Wyatt trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wyatt fails with the takedown and Nobonenko counters with a low kick, right behind Wyatt 's knee. Nobonenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wyatt moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nobonenko swings for the body but Wyatt moves out of range.
Wyatt misses with a wild body shot. Nobonenko throws a body punch but Wyatt moves out of range. Nobonenko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wyatt. Wyatt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nobonenko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Wyatt scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wyatt slips a nice elbow through Nobonenko's hands, connecting with Nobonenko's forehead. Nobonenko is pressing down on Wyatt's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Wyatt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nobonenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wyatt has managed to get both his arms back between Nobonenko's legs - danger averted. Wyatt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Nobonenko thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Nobonenko managing to control the position. Wyatt throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wyatt cracks Nobonenko with a solid left hand. Nobonenko keeping moving, preventing Wyatt from controlling successfully.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wyatt throws an overhand right that lands on Nobonenko's shoulder, as Nobonenko tries to avoid the shot. Nobonenko looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nobonenko looks to land a combination but Wyatt avoids it well. Wyatt lands an overhand right. Nobonenko lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wyatt avoids a kick to the body.
Wyatt dips to his left and cracks Nobonenko with an uppercut! Nobonenko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nobonenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Nobonenko stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Wyatt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wyatt thuds his right hand into Nobonenko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Yuri Nobonenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wyatt doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nobonenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wyatt's guard. Nobonenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Wyatt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wyatt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nobonenko prevents Wyatt from getting back to his feet. Wyatt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wyatt tries to get out of the position. Nobonenko preventing the sweep. Wyatt throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Nobonenko drops back looking for a leg! Wyatt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wyatt manages to kick Nobonenko off! Nobonenko jumps back into Wyatt's guard. Nobonenko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that's the end of the fight! Yuri Nobonenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wyatt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
