The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilmer closes the distance and clinches up with Thompson, looking for a takedown. Kilmer pushes Thompson against the cage but Thompson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kilmer looks for a takedown but Thompson sprawls well.

Thompson lands a big right hand that drops Kilmer! The killer instinct kicks in and Thompson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Thompson!
