Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wilson pinned against the cage. Wilson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wilson dips to his left and cracks Doe with an uppercut!

Doe shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wilson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Doe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Doe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Doe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doe won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet.
Doe tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilson is retaining full guard.

Doe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wilson defends it well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Doe has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Doe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Doe will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Doe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilson is fending him off so far but Doe persists. Nope, Wilson circles away and we're back to standing.
Doe shoots in but Wilson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wilson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wilson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Doe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wilson avoids it really well and circles away.

Wilson connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Doe! He's out on his feet! Wilson rushes in and drops Doe with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
