Scully fails with the takedown.
Travis Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scully walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A jab lands there for Edwards.
Scully lands with a good body shot.
Scully fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Edwards.
Edwards throws a hook but Scully blocks it.
Edwards stuffs the takedown attempt from Scully. Scully gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Scully.
Edwards scores with a jab. Scully acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Edwards connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Edwards works Scully's body with a nice hook.
Scully is looking to clinch.
Edwards dips to his left and cracks Scully with an uppercut!
Scully closes this distance looking for a takedown but Edwards circles away.
Travis Edwards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Scully.
Scully throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Edwards avoids the head kick by Scully.
Edwards throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scully stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Danga de danga de dang - Edwards scores with a four punch combination!
Edwards is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Scully on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scully shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edwards but Edwards pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Edwards jabs Scully right on the nose. Scully blinks but takes it well.
Edwards displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Scully.
Edwards avoids a kick to the body.
Scully fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Scully gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Edwards scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Edwards, as that shot connected.
Scully shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Decent striking displayed by Edwards there.
Edwards lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A decent looking cross lands there for Edwards.
Scully fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Edwards lunges at Scully with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Scully's hand.
Edwards closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Edwards scores with a nice strike.
Edwards darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Edwards is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Scully drops his hands momentarily and Edwards takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Scully takes one to the side of the head.
Edwards is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Scully takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Edwards lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Edwards lands a jab to Scully's midsection.
Scully takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Edwards darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A right-left combo lands from Edwards.
Edwards moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Edwards cracks Scully with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A punch lands to the side of Scully 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Scully is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Edwards dips to his left and cracks Scully with an uppercut!
Scully has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Edwards thuds a left hand into Scully's body.
Travis Edwards is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Edwards lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Scully backs up against the cage.
Scully takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Edwards connects with a body shot.
Scully takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Scully is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Edwards.
Edwards goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Scully moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nice jab there from Edwards.
Edwards jabs Scully right on the nose. Scully blinks but takes it well.
Scully is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Edwards drops Scully with a huge uppercut! Scully drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Edwards is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Travis Edwards!
