Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dudley Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curt Goldberg!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goldberg is fending him off so far but Blake persists. Nope, Goldberg circles away and we're back to standing.
Blake throws a leg kick that misses.
Goldberg leaves Blake with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Goldberg takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Goldberg uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blake.
Goldberg is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Blake.
Blake scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Goldberg looks to land a left hand but Blake moved out of range nicely.
Blake motions for Goldberg to come forward. Blake throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Blake throws an overhand right that lands on Goldberg's shoulder, as Goldberg tries to avoid the shot.
Blake uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Goldberg.
A big left from Blake misses.
Goldberg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Goldberg misses with a straight right.
Blake misses with a body shot.
Goldberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Goldberg connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Blake throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Blake scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Blake.

Blake is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Goldberg knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Blake sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Goldberg is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goldberg can do anything to dispel that myth.

Blake looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Blake misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Goldberg is pushing Blake's head away, looking to escape. Blake manages to hold on to the position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blake in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Blake working the ground and pound but Goldberg is defending the strikes.
Goldberg wants to get back to his feet but Blake is dominant here and he's now got Goldberg's back!

Blake cracks Goldberg with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Goldberg from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Goldberg looking very determined here, making life difficult for Blake.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blake has Goldberg flattened out and is raining down punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blake lands strikes to the head.
A lull in the action here.
Blake is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Goldberg. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dudley Blake dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Blake throws a looping overhand right but Goldberg ducks down to avoid it.
Blake scoring well with a low kick there.

Goldberg closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blake did well to prevent Goldberg getting side control.
Goldberg prevents Blake from improving his position.
Goldberg is trying to control. Blake wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Goldberg is just content to waste time from the top position. Blake takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Goldberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blake is pulling down on Goldberg's head. It's preventing any offense from Goldberg, at least for the moment.
Blake wants to stand but Goldberg is controlling the position.

Blake wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blake is on top in guard.
Blake prevents Goldberg from getting back to his feet.

Blake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Blake passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Blake is looking to take a break and control but Goldberg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Blake scoring with punches and elbows.
Blake connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Goldberg some visible discomfort.
Goldberg is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Blake grinds an elbow into Goldberg's temple.
Blake tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Blake looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Check out the look on Blake's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Goldberg pushes Blake away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Blake gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Blake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Goldberg keeps working.
Blake has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Goldberg!
Goldberg's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Goldberg is breathing heavily.

Goldberg wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Blake has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Goldberg taps furiously! This one is all over!
