Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yushin Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okami takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Jacobs works over Okami's head and body with a nice combination. Okami swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jacobs throws a sloppy head kick and Okami moves out of range easily. Okami keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jacobs fails with an attempt to clinch.
Okami shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jacobs's guard. Jacobs is trying to control the position but Okami postures up. Jacobs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jacobs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Okami slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Okami is aware though and is defending well. Jacobs wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacobs keeping moving, preventing Okami from controlling successfully. Okami is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jacobs wants to sweep but no luck. Jacobs being controlled here, momentarily. Jacobs thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Okami controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jacobs with a poor takedown and Okami counters with a nice double leg into guard. Okami really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jacobs is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jacobs is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jacobs is trying to control the position but Okami postures up. Okami controls from within his opponent's guard. Okami sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jacobs's guard. Okami is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Okami trying to mount his opponent but Jacobs defends it. Okami content to control rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Yushin Okami will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Okami tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jacobs moves out of range of the body kick from Okami.

Okami tries a low kick but Jacobs avoids it. Jacobs shoots and misses and Okami counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Okami. Jacobs keeping full guard, as Okami tries to pass. Jacobs looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Jacobs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Okami defends it easily. Okami wants to control from the top but Jacobs keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Okami sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Okami is looking to control Jacobs's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Okami avoid being mounted? Okami is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jacobs missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Okami wants to improve his position but Jacobs is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs throwing shots but Okami is blocking nicely. Jacobs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Okami is just riding it out for now. Jacobs eventually gives up the hold. Jacobs trying to control the action but Okami is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jacobs is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jacobs tries to clinch up and Okami counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Okami content to control rather than advance. Okami's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jacobs is concentrating on defense, preventing Okami from advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yushin Okami showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Jacobs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jacobs lands with a good body shot. Okami fails with a takedown attempt. Jacobs tries for a takedown but Okami circles away easily and Okami counters with a straight right hand. Chris Jacobs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jacobs closes the distance but Okami moves to the side and Okami counters with a takedown into side control. Okami wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobs keeps working. Jacobs is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Okami takes a little break here. Jacobs wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Okami wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Okami controls the position. Okami advances to mount. Jacobs working to try and regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jacobs tries to hold on but Okami postures up. Jacobs gets back to half guard. Yushin Okami has got the better of the ground game so far. Jacobs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jacobs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Okami!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Okami can do anything to dispel that myth. Jacobs looking to control but Okami is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jacobs lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Jacobs stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Okami moves forwards but Jacobs connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jacobs misses with a takedown and Okami holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Okami misses with a body punch.

Jacobs trying to control the position from guard on top but Okami is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jacobs drops back, looking for a kneebar! Okami looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Okami looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Okami!
And that's the end of the fight! Yushin Okami comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Okami winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
