Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juliano Vongkhamchanh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pepito Tshabalala!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vongkhamchanh throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tshabalala.
A jab from Vongkhamchanh finds it's way through Tshabalala's defenses.


It looks like Pepito Tshabalala has been cut.
Vongkhamchanh scores with a jab to the head.
A head kick from Vongkhamchanh lands but Tshabalala takes it in his stride.
Vongkhamchanh throws a sloppy head kick and Tshabalala moves out of range easily.
Tshabalala takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


Tshabalala is rocked!

Vongkhamchanh gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tshabalala tries to free his leg and advance position but Vongkhamchanh is retaining full guard.

Tshabalala thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Tshabalala drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vongkhamchanh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vongkhamchanh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vongkhamchanh!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tshabalala dodges the ground and pound from Vongkhamchanh.
You can see the frustration on Tshabalala's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vongkhamchanh fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tshabalala is not content to let Vongkhamchanh control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tshabalala is trying to control Vongkhamchanh's posture but Vongkhamchanh avoids it.
Vongkhamchanh sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Tshabalala is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Tshabalala wants to control but Vongkhamchanh postures up.

Vongkhamchanh stands up and we're back to a striking position.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vongkhamchanh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vongkhamchanh tries to clinch but Tshabalala is having none of it.

Tshabalala shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vongkhamchanh napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Tshabalala thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Vongkhamchanh gets back to half guard.
Vongkhamchanh moves into full guard.
Tshabalala trying to control but Vongkhamchanh is working from the bottom.

Vongkhamchanh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Tshabalala postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vongkhamchanh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tshabalala, into his guard.

Vongkhamchanh drops back looking for a leg! Tshabalala is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tshabalala manages to kick Vongkhamchanh off! Vongkhamchanh jumps back into Tshabalala's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vongkhamchanh throws and elbow that misses. Tshabalala uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vongkhamchanh's guard. Nice move by Tshabalala!
Vongkhamchanh wants to sweep here but Tshabalala controlling him for the moment.

Vongkhamchanh is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Tshabalala is posturing up here but Vongkhamchanh has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Tshabalala tries to roll out but it's too tight and Tshabalala has to tap! Slick submission there by Vongkhamchanh!
