Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ken Crawford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Crawford might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Henry Rollins Band "Your number is one". Ken Crawford has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, New Fighter! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crawford defends it nicely. Crawford throws a right hand that Fighter ducks under and follows up with a left that Fighter also avoids with ease. Fighter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crawford.
Crawford tries to clinch there but Fighter circles away.

Fighter patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Fighter is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Crawford knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Crawford for a finish. Fighter is striking from the back but Crawford escapes and manages to recover to half guard.

Fighter uses his free foot to push down on Crawford's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Crawford. Fighter wants to control the pace but Crawford is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter tries to stand up but Crawford had a hold of his arm and he's managed to perform a nice reversal, into half guard. Crawford decides to stand and escape the position. Crawford doesn't manage to clinch there - Fighter circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Crawford scores with a body shot.

Fighter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crawford sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter somewhat. Crawford throws a sloppy head kick and Fighter moves out of range easily. Crawford misses with a two punch combination.

Fighter goes for an armbar but Crawford turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Crawford. Fighter has a closed guard, preventing Crawford from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crawford is fighting to break Fighter's control of his arms but Fighter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Crawford scores with a one two! Fighter had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Crawford lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
New Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A punch combination from Crawford misses. Crawford shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Crawford stands up and beckons Fighter to join him on the feet. Crawford looks to land a combination. Fighter sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fighter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Crawford. Ken Crawford is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Crawford fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Ken Crawford showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crawford, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
