PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Vjorgensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Hermiston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vjorgensen comes to the cage accompanied by Training. Hermiston is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rusty Cage. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bjorn Vjorgensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Hermiston!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermiston throws a series of punches but Vjorgensen avoids them all with ease.
Hermiston feints and then cracks Vjorgensen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vjorgensen down.

Vjorgensen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hermiston napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Vjorgensen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Hermiston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vjorgensen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vjorgensen is defended easily by Hermiston.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hermiston takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hermiston has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vjorgensen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vjorgensen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Hermiston throws a sloppy head kick and Vjorgensen moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown by Vjorgensen or perhaps it was just good defense by Hermiston which made him look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vjorgensen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
