Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Coll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Armstrong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mudvayne . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xander Coll! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coll bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Armstrong is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Armstrong wants to control but Coll postures up. Coll landing a few strikes. Coll stands up. Armstrong looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Coll tries to bum rush Armstrong with a series of wild strikes but Armstrong uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Armstrong throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Coll circles away from the clinch attempt.
Coll looks for a takedown but Armstrong sprawls well. Armstrong doesn't manage to clinch there - Coll circles away.
Armstrong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Coll. Armstrong gets caught flat footed, as Coll shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Armstrong is on top in guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Armstrong gets to his feet - Coll follows without any prompting. Coll changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Armstrong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Coll lands some shots froms side control. Armstrong tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coll trying to control the action but Armstrong is working from the bottom. Armstrong takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Armstrong gets back to half guard. Coll lands strikes from half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coll connects with a nice short shot to Armstrong's temple. Coll missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Armstrong on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Nice strikes from Coll there. Armstrong wants to improve his position but Coll is controlling well.
Armstrong is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coll lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Armstrong is staying active underneath Coll, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Armstrong looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Coll is nestled in close to Armstrong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Coll is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Armstrong avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coll. Armstrong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Coll working Armstrong over with strikes. Coll takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Coll looks gassed! Armstrong wants to control but Coll is keeping busy and won't allow it. Armstrong tries to get to full guard but Coll has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coll lands strikes from half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coll lands a nice short elbow. Coll working over Armstrong with some ground and pound. Armstrong looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Armstrong is trying to get back to full guard. Coll stops Armstrong from getting back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Coll is trying hard to land a takedown here. Armstrong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Michael Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xander Coll. Armstrong wants to clinch up but Coll keeps it at a distance. Armstrong is looking to clinch. Coll slips a jab and a cross from Armstrong.
A right-left combo lands from Coll. Coll fails with a takedown attempt. Armstrong is looking to clinch but Coll is avoiding it.
Coll moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Armstrong wants to clinch. A head kick misses from Armstrong. Coll throws a right hand that Armstrong ducks under and follows up with a left that Armstrong also avoids with ease. Armstrong misses with a head kick.
Armstrong gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Coll counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coll. Coll scoring with some ground and pound. Coll drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Coll jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Coll won't allow Armstrong to sweep him here. Coll has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Coll avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Coll scoring with some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coll keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Armstrong's head. Armstrong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coll defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xander Coll dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Coll feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Coll trying to control but Armstrong is working from the bottom. Coll is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Coll postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Armstrong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Coll, into his guard. Armstrong won't allow Coll to sweep him here. Armstrong wanted to stand there but Coll had control of the position. Coll is breathing heavily. Armstrong throws a strike but Coll rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong has his foot on Coll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coll works his way back into a safe position though. Coll scoring with some ground and pound. Coll stands up over Armstrong, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Coll forces his way into half guard. Coll in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Armstrong tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Coll!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Xander Coll!
