Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nobu Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nobu Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steven Hendricks! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Murphy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hendricks swivels and escapes. Hendricks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murphy, pushing him back against the cage. Hendricks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Murphy prevents it.

Hendricks gets in close and instigates a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hendricks lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Murphy backwards. Hendricks breaks the clinch.
Hendricks slaps away a takedown attempt from Murphy, before circling back to the center of the mat. Murphy throws a nice looking combination but Hendricks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hendricks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Murphy.

Hendricks distracts Murphy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hendricks tries to free his leg and advance position but Murphy is retaining full guard. Hendricks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Murphy's head. Hendricks chips away with some ground and pound. Murphy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hendricks tries to stand but Murphy is controlling from the bottom. Hendricks wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving. Hendricks gets to his feet - Murphy follows without any prompting. Murphy throws a series of punches but Hendricks avoids them all with ease. Hendricks buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Murphy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Murphy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hendricks lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hendricks goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Hendricks clobbers Murphy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Hendricks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hendricks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murphy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hendricks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hendricks tries to free his leg and advance position but Murphy is retaining full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Murphy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hendricks defends well. Hendricks wanted to stand there but Murphy had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hendricks rushes Murphy and presses him up against the cage. Murphy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hendricks pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hendricks manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Murphy preventing the sweep. Murphy throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendricks is trying to trip Murphy. He has hold of a leg but Murphy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hendricks persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hendricks decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Murphy, up you get! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Murphy tries to keep at a distance but Hendricks has taken the fight into the clinch. Hendricks utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Hendricks breaks the clinch.

Steven Hendricks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Murphy was covering up waiting for the punch and Hendricks finishes the takedown easily into guard. Steven Hendricks is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. And that's the end of the fight! Steven Hendricks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hendricks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
