The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butts tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Butts somewhat.
Williams loads up on a big right hand but Butts slips the punch.

Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williams showed some decent athleticism there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Williams missing with a left hand there. Butts was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Williams misses with a wild combination.
Williams misses the shot to the body.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Butts loses concentration momentarily and Williams pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Butts crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Williams finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
