And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gints Gredzens!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gredzens gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Panasonic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Panasonic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Panasonic distracts Gredzens with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Panasonic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Panasonic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Panasonic is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Panasonic stops Gredzens from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Panasonic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gredzens looks gassed!
Panasonic's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Panasonic advances to half guard.
