Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sang Suk Yong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Qualls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sang Suk Yong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Qualls! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suk Yong jabs Qualls right on the nose. Qualls blinks but takes it well. Qualls blocks a head kick by Suk Yong.
Qualls throws a series of punches but Suk Yong moves out of range. Suk Yong's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Suk Yong duly obliges. Sang Suk Yong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A bone on bone clash there as Suk Yong blocks the leg kick.
Suk Yong throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Qualls on the side of the head. Suk Yong lands a big head kick that sends Qualls tumbling to the mat! Suk Yong takes a step backwards and waves Qualls back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Qualls is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Qualls shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Suk Yong pinned against the cage. Suk Yong gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Qualls is still on wobbly legs! Can Suk Yong finish him? Suk Yong pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Qualls seems to have recovered his senses. Suk Yong uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Qualls throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. No luck for Qualls with that takedown attempt. Suk Yong throws a head kick that misses. A lazy left from Suk Yong finds it's target. Suk Yong misses with a jab, cross combination.
No joy there for Suk Yong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Qualls avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suk Yong looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Qualls uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Suk Yong has time to react. Qualls tries to clinch there but Suk Yong circles away.
Qualls dives in and grabs Suk Yong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Suk Yong pushes down on Qualls's head and hops out. Sang Suk Yong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Qualls. Suk Yong lands a head kick. Qualls smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Qualls misses with an uppercut. Suk Yong throws a head kick that misses. An inside leg kick lands from Suk Yong. Qualls closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Suk Yong did well to prevent Qualls getting side control. Qualls is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Qualls looks gassed! Qualls is trying to control. Suk Yong wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Suk Yong wants to control but Qualls is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Qualls is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Suk Yong has managed to free his arm - good work. Suk Yong trying to control but Qualls postures up.
Qualls is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Suk Yong is just riding it out for now. Qualls eventually gives up the hold. Suk Yong keeping control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Qualls is thwarting Suk Yong's attempts to control the position. Suk Yong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Qualls's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Qualls's back! Suk Yong keeps control of the position as Qualls tries to break free.
Qualls wants to control his opponent's hands but Suk Yong gets his hands free. Suk Yong has the hooks in. Qualls is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Qualls turns into Suk Yong and is now in his guard.
Qualls looking to pass the guard. Suk Yong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Qualls with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Qualls wants to pass the guard but Suk Yong is keeping the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Suk Yong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Qualls. Suk Yong connects with a looping right hand.
Suk Yong misses with a series of wild punches.
Suk Yong leaves Qualls with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Suk Yong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Qualls.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Suk Yong misses with a head kick.
Suk Yong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Suk Yong throws a sloppy head kick and Qualls moves out of range easily. Suk Yong throws a good cross that connects.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sang Suk Yong dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Suk Yong. Suk Yong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Qualls moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A head kick by Suk Yong misses and Qualls moves into the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Qualls has had enough of the clinch but Suk Yong keeps him there for the moment. Suk Yong tries to land knees in the clinch but Qualls avoids the damage to the body. Qualls tries to break free but Suk Yong pushes him back against the cage. Qualls tries to score a body lock takedown but Suk Yong shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Qualls prevents Suk Yong from breaking the clinch. Suk Yong lands a knee to the body.
Suk Yong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Qualls's efforts to push away. Qualls is breathing heavily. Knees to the body from Suk Yong.
Qualls has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Suk Yong lands a body punch. Qualls manages to break the clinch.
Suk Yong checks a low kick from Qualls. Suk Yong throws a sloppy head kick and Qualls moves out of range easily. Suk Yong throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Qualls blocks a head kick by Suk Yong.
Suk Yong lands an overhand right. Suk Yong tests Qualls's chin there with a solid looking shot. Qualls blocks a head kick by Suk Yong.

A head kick by Suk Yong misses and Qualls makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Suk Yong lands a head shot. Suk Yong lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A looping hook to the body misses from Qualls. Suk Yong does a little dance to reset his feet. A big left from Qualls misses. Suk Yong throws a leg kick which misses Qualls's front leg but catches the back leg as Qualls tries to avoid it. Suk Yong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Qualls shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Qualls was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Qualls is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Suk Yong to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Suk Yong shrugs it off. Qualls goes for an armbar but Suk Yong turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Suk Yong.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Qualls keeping moving, preventing Suk Yong from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Qualls working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Suk Yong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Suk Yong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Qualls has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suk Yong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Qualls keeping moving, preventing Suk Yong from controlling successfully. Qualls escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Suk Yong gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Suk Yong trying to control the position from guard on top but Qualls is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Qualls is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sang Suk Yong dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Suk Yong scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Qualls walks into a stiff left hand from Suk Yong. Qualls blocks a low kick nicely. Suk Yong lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Suk Yong. Qualls throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Suk Yong takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Suk Yong throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A punch lands to the side of Qualls 's head but he takes it in his stride. A punch combination from Suk Yong misses. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Suk Yong!
Sang Suk Yong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Qualls shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Qualls is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Qualls prevents Suk Yong from improving his position. Qualls looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Qualls is looking to pass Suk Yong's guard but actually Suk Yong recovers to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Suk Yong pulls Qualls in close to his closed guard and prevents Qualls from doing any damage or advancing position. Suk Yong wants to get back to his feet but Qualls is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Qualls postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Suk Yong looking for a sweep. Not yet Suk Yong, not yet. Qualls is working Suk Yong over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Qualls drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Suk Yong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Qualls has Suk Yong in his guard. Sang Suk Yong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Qualls has his foot on Suk Yong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suk Yong works his way back into a safe position though. Suk Yong controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Qualls keeping moving, preventing Suk Yong from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suk Yong won't allow Qualls to sweep him here. Suk Yong trying to control but Qualls is working from the bottom. Qualls is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Suk Yong controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Qualls is looking for a triangle but Suk Yong pushes his legs off easily.
Suk Yong stays in close to Qualls's body and controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Sang Suk Yong showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Suk Yong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
