Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heikki Kanttori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andriy Kashenio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kanttori kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Amon Amarth - Death in Fire. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andriy Kashenio! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanttori drives through with a takedown into guard. Kanttori drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kanttori jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kanttori wants to pass the guard but Kashenio is keeping the position. Kanttori thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kashenio holds on and takes a little breather. Kashenio bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kanttori's guard. Kanttori is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kanttori looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kashenio trying to control the position from guard on top but Kanttori is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kashenio would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kashenio trying to control but Kanttori is working from the bottom. Kanttori working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kashenio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kashenio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kanttori keeping moving, preventing Kashenio from controlling successfully. Kanttori wants to improve his position but instead Kashenio has moved into half guard.
Kanttori is not content to let Kashenio control the position. Kashenio performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kashenio is working for a submission of some sort.
Kanttori is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kashenio pulls his head out easily. Kanttori gets full guard. Kanttori looking for a sweep. Not yet Kanttori, not yet. Kashenio wanted to stand there but Kanttori had control of the position. Kashenio trying to control the position from guard on top but Kanttori is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kashenio is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kanttori fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kanttori fails with the takedown. Kashenio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kashenio tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kanttori knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kanttori looking for submissions off his back. Kashenio decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Kanttori shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kashenio counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heikki Kanttori. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kanttori regains half guard. Kanttori gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kanttori pushes a forearm under Kashenio's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kashenio is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
