PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bo Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Bobrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Bobrov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Bobrov.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
Bobrov stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bobrov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jackson's head.
Bobrov is in close to Jackson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bobrov is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bobrov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jackson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bobrov is looking to defend but Jackson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bobrov! Jackson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bobrov taps out and this one is all over!
