Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zane Trusdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zane Trusdale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sterling Contreras! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trusdale misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Trusdale changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Contreras tries to avoid it but Trusdale manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Contreras to the ground. Contreras escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Contreras tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trusdale paws at him with a jab and circles away. Trusdale shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Contreras tries to get to full guard but Trusdale has control of the leg. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Contreras is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Trusdale pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Contreras is trying to get back to full guard. Contreras looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Trusdale throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Contreras looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Trusdale seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Contreras does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Trusdale looks for a takedown but Contreras sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zane Trusdale. That's going to take a lot out of him. Trusdale tries for a takedown but Contreras sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Trusdale shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Contreras as he avoids it easily. Trusdale is breathing heavily. Trusdale tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Contreras paws at him with a jab and circles away. Contreras fails with the takedown and Trusdale finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Trusdale throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Contreras's waist but Contreras gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Trusdale off to one side. Contreras drives through with a takedown into guard. Trusdale on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Trusdale tries to get out of the position. Contreras tries to free his leg and advance position but Trusdale is retaining full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Contreras accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Trusdale keeping full guard, as Contreras tries to pass. Contreras throwing strikes from guard but Trusdale blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Contreras wants to control from the top but Trusdale keeps moving. Contreras drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Contreras jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Contreras throws a strike but Trusdale rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Contreras is looking for a triangle but Trusdale pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Contreras keeping moving, preventing Trusdale from controlling successfully. Trusdale throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Contreras works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Contreras working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trusdale doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trusdale manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Trusdale cracks Contreras with a solid left hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trusdale stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Contreras swivels though and keeps the full guard. Contreras escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trusdale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Trusdale working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Contreras working for a triangle but Trusdale defends it easily.
Trusdale postures up and lands a big shot to Contreras's brow. Contreras had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Trusdale defends it easily. Trusdale landing with the ground and pound. Trusdale distracts Contreras with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Contreras is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sterling Contreras dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Trusdale tries to clinch up. Trusdale throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Contreras was covering up waiting for the punch and Trusdale finishes the takedown easily into guard. Contreras throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Trusdale trying to control the position from guard on top but Contreras is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trusdale stands up over Contreras, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Contreras working for a triangle but Trusdale defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Contreras working a defensive guard but Trusdale manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trusdale lands some shots froms side control. Trusdale works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Trusdale in side control, throwing shots but Contreras defends. Contreras manages to work his way to half guard, despite Trusdale's best efforts. Trusdale wants to lay and pray for a moment but Contreras keeps working. Contreras punching from the bottom.
Trusdale thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Contreras's head. Trusdale trying to control from half guard but Contreras is working away. Trusdale has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Contreras. Contreras wants to control but Trusdale is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Contreras looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Contreras swings around for an armbar but Trusdale sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Contreras's guard. Contreras manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Contreras is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Trusdale can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Contreras is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Trusdale to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Trusdale shrugs it off. Contreras prevents Trusdale from getting the reversal. Trusdale wants to hold on but Contreras pushes him away. Contreras throws some wild stikes that Trusdale manages to avoid easily.
Contreras wants to finish this one by submission but Trusdale is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Contreras.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Trusdale sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Trusdale pushes Contreras off and gets back to his feet. Contreras closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trusdale circles away. Trusdale has taken the fight to the clinch.
Contreras changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Trusdale fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Contreras misses with a takedown attempt - Trusdale sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Zane Trusdale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sterling Contreras. Trusdale moves in looking to clinch but Contreras pushes him off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Zane Trusdale will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Trusdale is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Trusdale throwing shots but Contreras is blocking nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Contreras misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sterling Contreras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trusdale scores a takedown into full mount! Trusdale is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Contreras is surviving well by controlling Trusdale's body position as best he can. Sterling Contreras has got the better of the ground game so far. Contreras working to try and regain half guard.
Trusdale lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Contreras taking shots to the head. Contreras is looking to get to half guard. Trusdale is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Contreras can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trusdale fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Trusdale scoring with strikes but Contreras is staying in there. Contreras tries to hold on but Trusdale postures up. Trusdale can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Contreras is looking to escape. Contreras is looking to get to half guard. Contreras is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. The referee warns Contreras that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Trusdale looking to finish Contreras with some ground and pound. This is bad for Contreras! Contreras is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Trusdale is in the full mount, landing strikes. Contreras is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Contreras is bucking up trying to escape but Trusdale cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Trusdale prevents Contreras from getting the reversal. BOOM! Trusdale connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Contreras takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Trusdale scores with a couple of good head shots there.

And that's the end of the fight! Zane Trusdale showed his dominance in that final round. I think Trusdale has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
