PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Dunlop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buvaisar Saitiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saitiev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gimme Shelter Rolling stones. The key to victory for Geoff Dunlop has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buvaisar Saitiev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunlop throws a right hand that Saitiev ducks under and follows up with a left that Saitiev also avoids with ease.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dunlop drops back, looking for a kneebar! Saitiev looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Saitiev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Saitiev!

Saitiev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dunlop has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saitiev has managed to get both his arms back between Dunlop's legs - danger averted.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Saitiev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dunlop looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
