Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Dejesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Excel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Excel has chosen Everything Zen- Bush as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Axel Excel!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No luck for Excel with that takedown attempt.

Dejesus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Excel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dejesus controlling from side mount.

Dejesus looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Excel takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Excel tries to buck Dejesus off but Dejesus is having none of it.
Excel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dejesus has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dejesus fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Dejesus decides to stand back up. Dejesus steps back and let's Excel get back to his feet.

Dejesus clinches up with Excel and pushes him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Excel tries to score a body lock takedown but Dejesus shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Dejesus has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Excel uses from the top position.

Dejesus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Excel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dejesus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Excel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Excel is still in real trouble! Can Dejesus finish him?

Excel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dejesus is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Excel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dejesus's back instead.

You can see the frustration on Excel's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Dejesus has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Excel has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Excel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dejesus blocks it with crossed arms.
Excel swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Dejesus changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Excel fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dejesus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Excel as he jumps to the side.

Dejesus closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dejesus lands in his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Excel is on top in guard.

That was a close round but Douglas Dejesus did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
