Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Guenette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guenette comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God - Beating on Death's Door. Dan Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Guenette looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Guenette seems to be looking for submissions.
Guenette is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily.
Silva wants to get back to full guard.
Guenette is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.

Silva wants to control but Guenette is keeping busy.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guenette. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guenette is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Guenette eventually gives up the hold.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Guenette is working away from the top position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Guenette uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.
Guenette prevents Silva from getting the reversal.
Silva tries to improve his position but instead Guenette has taken his back!
Silva wants to get back to his feet.

Guenette has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Silva has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Guenette is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guenette. Guenette circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Silva moves in looking to clinch but Guenette pushes him off.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guenette is defended easily by Silva.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Guenette paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Guenette working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Guenette swings around for an armbar but Silva sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Guenette's guard.

Guenette has Silva pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guenette is proving hard to escape from.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close second round but I would say that Travis Guenette will probably get the nod.

Guenette closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Guenette getting side control.

Guenette drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Guenette has Silva in his guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Guenette holds on and takes a little breather.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Guenette is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Guenette is really struggling to control Silva but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Guenette has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Guenette takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Guenette to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Silva!
