Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Doomsday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke has chosen Star Wars - Imperial March as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Victor Doomsday has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doomsday moves away from the strike by Locke. Doomsday misses with a body shot.
Doomsday looks to score with a jab to the body but Locke is just out of range. A shot to the body from Locke misses and Doomsday counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice jab there from Doomsday. Some wild striking there from Locke.
Locke slips a straight right by Doomsday. Locke lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Locke throws a hook but Doomsday avoids it easily. Locke slaps away a takedown attempt from Doomsday, before circling back to the center of the mat. Doomsday thows a body shot but no joy. Doomsday blocks a head kick by Locke.
Locke looks to land a left hand but Doomsday moved out of range nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Locke avoids the body shot from Doomsday.
A decent looking cross lands there for Doomsday. Doomsday moves out of range as Locke strikes. Doomsday misses the shot to the body. Locke throws an overhand right that lands on Doomsday's shoulder, as Doomsday tries to avoid the shot. The fighters circling - Locke throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Locke throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Doomsday staying out of range there. No luck for Doomsday with that takedown attempt. Doomsday avoids the body shot from Locke.

Doomsday misses with a wild body shot. Locke misses with a straight right. Locke lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A head kick misses from Locke. Doomsday punishes Locke's body with a nice straight punch. Doomsday smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Locke takes a swing at Doomsday's ribcage but misses. Doomsday misses with a shot to the body letting Locke counter with a right hand. Doomsday misses with a takedown and Locke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Doomsday. That's going to take a lot out of him. Locke on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Doomsday. Doomsday is looking to wear down Locke with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Doomsday fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Locke manages to avoid it. Locke misses with a straight left. Doomsday shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Doomsday in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Doomsday lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Doomsday sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Poor strikes thrown by Doomsday there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Locke gets back to half guard. Doomsday looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Locke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Doomsday thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Locke to regain full guard. Locke avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Doomsday content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Doomsday thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doomsday passes Locke's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Doomsday is trying to work for a kimura but Locke is defending well.
Locke is not content to let Doomsday control the position. Doomsday thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Doomsday accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Doomsday looking to sit in guard and control but Locke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Locke postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Doomsday. Locke does a little dance to reset his feet. Locke gets caught flat footed, as Doomsday shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Victor Doomsday overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Doomsday works a leg free and moves into half guard. Doomsday advances to half guard. Doomsday is looking to advance position but Locke won't allow it. Doomsday prevents Locke from improving his position.

Doomsday with a flurry of punches that miss. Doomsday looking to pass the guard. John Locke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Doomsday passes Locke's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Doomsday wants to take a breather but Locke is having none of it. Locke tries to roll over but Doomsday keeps him under control. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Locke wants to get back to his feet. Doomsday throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Doomsday lands a nice short elbow. Doomsday looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Locke is defending against the submission attempts here by Doomsday.
And that's the end of the fight! Victor Doomsday showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Doomsday, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
