Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benny Tronk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tronk comes to the cage accompanied by "Go Getta" - Young Jeezy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tronk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tronk postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lambert is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tronk, into his guard.

Lambert throws and elbow that misses. Tronk uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lambert's guard. Nice move by Tronk!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lambert can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tronk drops back looking for a leg! Lambert is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lambert manages to kick Tronk off! Tronk jumps back into Lambert's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tronk takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Mike Lambert is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tronk dives in and grabs Lambert's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lambert pushes down on Tronk's head and hops out.

Horrible takedown by Tronk or perhaps it was just good defense by Lambert which made him look bad.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tronk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lambert circles away.

Tronk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lambert as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tronk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

It looks like Benny Tronk has been cut.
No joy there for Lambert, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tronk shoots in for a double leg but Lambert sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lambert keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lambert's corner calls for a 1-2. Lambert obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tronk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lambert throws a lazy right hand but Tronk sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lambert uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Lambert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tronk, pushing him back against the cage.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tronk tries to pull guard but Lambert won't allow it.
Lambert is looking to break free of the clinch but Tronk has double underhooks.
Tronk using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lambert has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A frustrated look appears on Lambert's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Tronk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lambert smiles and moves away.

Mike Lambert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lambert keeps the fight on the outside.
Tronk takes the fight into the clinch.
Tronk pulls Lambert into guard.

Lambert postures up and lands a big shot to Tronk's brow.
Lambert throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tronk works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lambert wants to get up but he can't break Tronk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Lambert working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tronk's head.
Tronk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lambert doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tronk is tightening it up a little... Lambert has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lambert reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lambert taps out! nice BJJ there by Tronk!
