Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Weed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kent's choice of entrance music: In The Morning-Ross Raiden & the RC. Clark Kent is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Weed pushes Kent up against the ropes in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Kent's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kent tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Weed smiles and moves away.
Weed digs a good body shot into Kent's ribs.
Weed slips under a jab from Kent.
Kent throws out a loose jab but Weed uses good head movement to avoid it.
A telegraphed right hand from Kent misses the target.
Kent drops his hands momentarily and Weed takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Weed displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kent throws out the jab.
Kent lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Weed at a distance.
Kent throws an overhand right that lands on Weed's shoulder, as Weed tries to avoid the shot.
Weed explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Weed scores with a nice right hand.
Weed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kent closes the distance but Weed moves to the side
and Weed counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Kent throws a hook but Weed avoids it easily.
Weed has taken the fight to the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kent tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Weed just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Weed landing knees to the body.
Kent looks gassed!

Weed is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Weed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kent misses with a looping left.
Kent throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Weed counter with a right hand.

It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
Weed fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kent, pushing him back against the ropes.
Kent tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Weed just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Jonathan Weed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clark Kent.
Weed lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Weed is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Weed scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Weed lands an elbow inside that Kent shrugs off.
Weed using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Kent is trying to force a seperation but Weed has the dominant position.

Weed lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Weed lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kent tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Weed smiles and moves away.

Weed thumps Kent with a low kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Weed takes the fight into the clinch.
Kent takes an elbow to the forehead.
Still in the clinch, Weed scores with a nice short uppercut.
Kent is rocked!
Weed creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Kent with a big uppercut! Kent tries to clinch up but Weed pushes him back against the ropes and lands another moster strike that crumples Kent to the mat! Kent covers up and Weed unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jonathan Weed!
