The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso throws a nice looking combination but Weezing bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cardoso scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Weezing doesn't seem bothered though.
Weezing connects with a solid leg kick.
Cardoso lands with a good body shot.
Cardoso lands a nice hook to Weezing's body. Weezing takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cardoso rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Weezing moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Weezing throws a push kick but Cardoso slaps the foot to one side.
Cardoso lands a left and a right that send Weezing crashing to the mat, dazed. Cardoso thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Koffing Weezing has been cut.
Weezing is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cardoso connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Weezing! He's out on his feet! Cardoso rushes in and drops Weezing with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gustavo Cardoso!
