Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eli Zabitz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Phillip McGee! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee takes a swing at Zabitz's ribcage but misses. McGee misses with a series of wild punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGee misses the shot to the body. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McGee checks a leg kick. McGee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zabitz was well out of range. Poor timing from McGee.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGee misses with an attempted head punch from side control. McGee working the ground and pound. McGee throwing strikes but missing, from side control. McGee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McGee thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. McGee in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

McGee in side control, throwing shots but Zabitz defends. Zabitz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zabitz tries to get out of the position. Zabitz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by McGee.
Zabitz can't do much from the bottom here. Zabitz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. McGee looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Zabitz is avoiding damage well.
McGee in side control, throwing shots but Zabitz defends. McGee connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Zabitz some visible discomfort.

McGee throws an elbow but Zabitz slips to the side and avoids it well. McGee creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Zabitz sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. McGee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zabitz parries the strikes from McGee easily there. McGee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zabitz to escape.

Eli Zabitz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McGee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zabitz was well out of range. Poor timing from McGee. Zabitz feints and then cracks McGee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McGee down.

McGee lands with a shot to the body. The fighters circling - McGee throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Eli Zabitz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McGee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zabitz.

McGee throws a hook but Zabitz blocks it. McGee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zabitz manages to avoid it. Phillip McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGee throws a big shot that misses. Zabitz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. McGee is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Zabitz rather than just go for the knockout.

Zabitz moves out of range of the strikes. McGee thows a left - swing and a miss! Zabitz throws a nice inside leg kick. Zabitz staying out of range there. McGee looks to land a left hand but Zabitz moved out of range nicely.

McGee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Zabitz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. McGee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McGee jabbing away but nothing is landing. A telegraphed right hand from McGee misses the target. A nice combination there by Zabitz.

Zabitz ducked under it nicely. Zabitz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. McGee throws a jab but it's blocked by Zabitz. Zabitz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGee.
