Karzie is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kammy Karzie!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mays is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mays throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Karzie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mays has a closed guard, preventing Karzie from standing up.
Mays can't keep his opponent in guard - Karzie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
It looks like Karzie is going to stand back up.

Karzie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Mays is breathing heavily.

Karzie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mays manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Karzie stands up and waves to Mays to follow him.

A head kick misses from Karzie.
Karzie blocks a jab.
Mays moves in looking to clinch but Karzie pushes him off.
Karzie throws the kick towards the body but Mays avoids it.
Mays defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Karzie.

and Karzie counters with an outside leg kick.

Mays tries to clinch but Karzie moves away
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Nice straight punches there by Mays. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mays.
Karzie thuds a left hand into Mays's body.
Karzie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mays avoids it really well and circles away.
Karzie avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Karzie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mays. That did some damage!
Karzie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mays as he avoids it easily.
Mays lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Mays shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Karzie sprawls well. Karzie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mays gets slowly back to his feet.
Mays shoots in looking for a takedown. Karzie tries to sprawl out of it but Mays keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Karzie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mays lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Karzie backs up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Karzie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mays defends it nicely.

Karzie misses with a takedown attempt - Mays sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Karzie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mays manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mays controls Karzie momentarily but Karzie frees himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Karzie stands and throws Mays's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Karzie stands up and beckons Mays to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mays is defended easily by Karzie.

Karzie pushes Mays up against the cage in a clinch.

Karzie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mays. That did some damage!

Karzie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mays looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Karzie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Karzie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Karzie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mays is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Karzie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mays is trying to control Karzie's posture but Karzie avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Karzie decides to stand back up. Karzie steps back and let's Mays get back to his feet.

Karzie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Karzie working the ground and pound but Mays is defending the strikes.
Mays struggling a bit here.

Karzie stands up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nice sprawl there from Karzie as Mays shoots in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kammy Karzie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Karzie shoots for a double leg takedown but Mays sprawls well. He's pushed Karzie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Karzie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Karzie drops back looking for a leg! Mays is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mays manages to kick Karzie off! Karzie jumps back into Mays's guard.

Karzie clinches up against the cage.

Karzie has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mays regains guard immediately.

Karzie stands up and waves to Mays to follow him.
Mays stalks Karzie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Karzie's face. Karzie staggers backwards, shaken.

Mays tries to bum rush Karzie with a series of wild strikes but Karzie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Freddie Mays is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Karzie shoots in for a takedown but Mays shows good takedown defense.
Mays tries to close the distance and clinch but Karzie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mays connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Karzie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mays. That did some damage!

Karzie swats away the attempt to clinch by Mays.

Mays is refusing to be controlled, as Karzie sits in half guard.

Karzie wants to work for an arm triangle but Mays is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Karzie stands up and beckons Mays to join him on the feet.

Freddie Mays has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mays shoots in for a takedown but Karzie shows good takedown defense.
Karzie throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mays looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mays throws the left hand but Karzie avoids the punch easily.
Mays misses with a low kick.

Karzie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Karzie showed some decent athleticism there.

Kammy Karzie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Karzie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
