Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Big John as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice shot lands for Smith.
Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Wayne misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Wayne on that attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith throws a right and a left that Wayne avoids nicely.

It looks like Bruce Wayne has been cut.
A big right from Wayne misses.
Smith tries to bum rush Wayne with a series of wild strikes but Wayne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wayne looks for the body kick but Smith saw that one coming.
Wayne closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Wayne pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Wayne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wayne has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.

Wayne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Wayne shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Wayne counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.

Wayne is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wayne tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard.

Wayne is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smith is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smith has escaped and now he's on top!
Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wayne is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Smith throws a head kick that Wayne semi-blocks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Bruce Wayne will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Smith moves away from the strike by Wayne.
Wayne is looking to clinch.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Wayne counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smith's guard now.

Wayne drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wayne postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smith is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wayne, into his guard.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wayne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Wayne's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wayne looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruce Wayne showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Wayne has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
