Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frito Bandito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dexan Donk!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Frito Bandito has been cut.
Donk slips a straight right by Bandito.
Bandito looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Donk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dexan Donk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bandito throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Donk misses with the combination.
Donk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nice shot lands for Donk.
Donk shoots for a double leg takedown but Bandito sprawls well. He's pushed Donk's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bandito throws a hook but Donk blocks it.
Donk sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Bandito to the ground! Donk dives into full mount looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bandito is desperately trying to improve his position but Donk has a good base and remains in mount.
Donk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bandito is looking to escape.
Bandito is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bandito on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bandito tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Donk throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Bandito knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Donk on the ground.
Donk tries to control but Bandito wriggling away.
A nice elbow there by Donk.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bandito is wriggling around trying to escape.
Donk is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bandito can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Donk with the ground and pound from mount.
Bandito is rocked!
Donk lands a big shot to the head and Bandito winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
