Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Punish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Goodier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodier fails to land the takedown.
Punish gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Goodier to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Punish working for a triangle but Goodier defends it easily.
Punish tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Goodier lands a couple of digs.
Goodier trying to control but Punish is working from the bottom.

Goodier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Punish swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Punish looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Goodier puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Punish is trying to stand up here but Goodier is controlling him well.
Goodier wants to work for an arm triangle but Punish is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Punish trying to control but Goodier postures up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Goodier is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Goodier is controlling the pace.
Punish makes his way to full guard, as Goodier worked for a kimura.

Goodier drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Punish dives on top into guard.
Goodier working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Punish has passed into half guard!
Goodier is looking to control Punish's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Goodier avoid being mounted?
Punish is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Punish is thwarting Goodier's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punish not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Punish slips a nice elbow through Goodier's hands, connecting with Goodier's forehead.

Punish is trying to maintain the position but Goodier is very close to passing his half guard.

Goodier is looking to take a break and control but Punish is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Punish plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Brian Goodier has been cut.
Punish tries to bum rush Goodier with a series of wild strikes but Goodier uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Goodier fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Goodier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Punish as he avoids it easily.
Punish tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Punish closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Punish is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Goodier can't fight it off and eventually Punish manages to take the fight to the floor. Goodier looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Goodier is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Punish has his hands clasped together but Goodier extends an breaks Punish's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Goodier.
