Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Elenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeroen Rosendale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rosendale is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go to sleep bitch- Eminem ft. Obie Trice and DMX.. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosendale displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elenko. Rosendale plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rosendale stuffs the takedown. Rosendale throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Elenko has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rosendale rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Elenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rosendale displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elenko. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dmitri Elenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rosendale scores with a jab. Rosendale throws a series of punches but Elenko avoids them all with ease. Elenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rosendale paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rosendale closes the distance and clinches. Rosendale breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Elenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Elenko looking to control but Rosendale is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rosendale tries to reverse the position but Elenko maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elenko avoids the attempt from Rosendale to control. Rosendale is squirming around, avoiding Elenko's attempts to control the action. Elenko connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Elenko throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Elenko sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Elenko looking to control but Rosendale is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Elenko is really struggling to control Rosendale but he's trying to hold on to the position. Elenko moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rosendale has worked his arm free - good work by Rosendale!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rosendale struggling a bit here. Elenko decides to stand back up. Elenko steps back and let's Rosendale get back to his feet. Rosendale comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Rosendale stalks Elenko and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Elenko's face. Elenko staggers backwards, shaken. Rosendale uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Rosendale fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jeroen Rosendale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rosendale shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rosendale was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rosendale lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Elenko is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosendale with shots to the head and body - Elenko looks very uncomfortable down there. Rosendale fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Rosendale putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Rosendale trying to control but Elenko is having none of it. Rosendale pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rosendale punishing his opponent with strikes. Rosendale is landing with some decent strikes but Elenko is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rosendale is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Elenko can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rosendale is in the full mount, landing strikes. Rosendale breaks from Elenko's wrist control and lands an elbow. The referee warns Elenko that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rosendale lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Elenko hang on? Rosendale lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rosendale is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Elenko to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Elenko shrugs it off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rosendale dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A combination from Rosendale does no damage. Rosendale gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Elenko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rosendale won't be happy with that. Rosendale parries the strikes from Elenko easily there. Elenko is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rosendale to escape.
Rosendale manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Rosendale looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Elenko is trying to control but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosendale not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Elenko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rosendale pulls his head out easily. Rosendale missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Rosendale there. Elenko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rosendale slips nicely into half guard. Rosendale is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Elenko regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Rosendale. Elenko preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Elenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rosendale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Elenko being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosendale thows a big elbow that misses. Elenko is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rosendale landing with the ground and pound. Rosendale wants to control from the top but Elenko keeps moving. Jeroen Rosendale has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rosendale lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Elenko wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rosendale is now in half guard. Rosendale throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rosendale looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Elenko with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rosendale lands with a punch from half guard. It looks like Rosendale is going to stand back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dmitri Elenko will probably get the nod. That's time! Elenko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Rosendale lands with a nice combination. Elenko backs away looking to recover. Elenko misses with a takedown and Rosendale connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rosendale throws a combination that misses and Elenko counters with a shoot takedown. Rosendale fights it but they end up in guard. Elenko throws and elbow that misses. Rosendale uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Elenko's guard. Nice move by Rosendale! Rosendale loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Elenko is working an open guard so Rosendale takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Elenko leaves Rosendale with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rosendale swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Elenko counters with a shoot takedown. Rosendale fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rosendale utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Elenko looking to sit in guard and control but Rosendale gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosendale got a little sloppy there for a moment and Elenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rosendale has managed to get both his arms back between Elenko's legs - danger averted. Rosendale is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Elenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rosendale gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rosendale advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rosendale trying to control the position but Elenko is working away. Rosendale working the strikes but Elenko uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Rosendale slips a nice elbow through Elenko's hands, connecting with Elenko's forehead. Rosendale throws a strike but Elenko avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Elenko wants to sweep here but Rosendale controlling him for the moment. Rosendale is working Elenko over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rosendale postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rosendale distracts Elenko with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Elenko tries to clinch and Rosendale counters with a single leg into guard. Elenko didn't expect that. Rosendale makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rosendale throws and elbow that misses. Elenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rosendale's guard. Nice move by Elenko! Elenko trying to control but Rosendale is working from the bottom. Elenko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elenko wants to pass the guard but Rosendale is keeping the position. Elenko looking to sit in guard and control but Rosendale gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rosendale working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rosendale passes Elenko's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rosendale seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dmitri Elenko. I think Elenko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
