2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico william! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luiz Crane! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crane gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows william to score an easy takedown into full guard. william is looking to stand up but Crane won't let him. william tries to free his leg and advance position but Crane is retaining full guard. Crane has control of william's left arm, preventing william from doing any damage. william wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving. Crane looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Crane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in william's guard. william could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Crane wants to get up but he can't break william's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Crane postures up in william's guard and throws a big left but william blocks it. Crane scoring with punches to the head and body. Crane wants to pass the guard but william is keeping the position. Crane trying to control the position from guard on top but william is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. william looking for a guillotine here but Crane defends easily.
Crane decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on william, up you get!

william throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Crane stands up and beckons william to his feet. william closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - william lands in his opponent's guard. william is breathing heavily. william throws a strike but Crane rolls with it and manages to sweep. That was a close round but I would say that Rico william will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Crane got a little sloppy there for a moment and william has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crane has managed to get both his arms back between william's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crane tries to stand but william is controlling from the bottom. Crane wants to control from the top but william keeps moving. Crane wants to get up but he can't break william's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. william escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. william looking to sweep here. No luck so far. william pushes Crane off and gets back to his feet.
Rico william is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. william tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Crane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before william has time to react. Crane shoots in looking for a takedown. william tries to sprawl out of it but Crane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. william manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Crane lands with a cross. Crane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! william darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Crane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. william is looking to stand up but Crane won't let him.
