Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Fagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter's entrance music is Empire State of Mind. A fine choice. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fagan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Carter wants to get back to his feet.
Carter tries to bench press Fagan off him but Fagan keeps the position.
Fagan tries to advance to mount but Carter denies him.
Carter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fagan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Carter's face as Fagan controls the position.

Carter explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Fagan gets a clinch.

Carter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carter manages to end up in side control.
Fagan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Carter tries to get to full guard but Fagan has control of the leg.

Carter is trying to control but Fagan passes into side control!

Fagan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Carter tries to escape but Fagan is in control.
Carter keeps Fagan under control for a moment.
Fagan is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fagan tries to advance to mount but can't.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fagan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Carter is trying to work for a sweep but Fagan has mounted him!
Fagan throws some wild stikes that Carter manages to avoid easily.
Carter tries to lock up and control but Fagan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fagan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carter is looking to escape.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fagan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Carter has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Carter!

Fagan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Carter pushes down on Fagan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Carter wants to pass to mount but Fagan is defending the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fagan looking for a triangle here. Carter is fighting it but it looks tight! Fagan pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Carter is tapping out - this one is all over!
