The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
leroy throws a quick inside leg kick.
leroy throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
leroy is looking to clinch but Rua is avoiding it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
leroy looking to slow down the pace here.
Rua throws a blind hook that connects with the side of leroys head.
leroy wants to break free but Rua has control.
Rua tries to pull guard but leroy holds him up against the cage and eventually Rua drops back down to his feet.
leroy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Rua is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but leroy is keeping busy.
leroy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rua jumps guard but leroy stands there with Rua around his waist. Rua gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

leroy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rua shoots for a double leg takedown but leroy sprawls well. He's pushed Rua's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

leroy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rua's guard.
