Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Jameson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Garcia Montales! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montales misses with a body shot.

Jameson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jameson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Some wild striking there from Montales.
Jameson moves forwards but Montales connects with a nice, crisp jab. Jameson misses with a takedown attempt - Montales sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Garcia Montales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Montales is looking to clinch. Montales scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jameson takes one on the button. Montales tries to bum rush Jameson with a series of wild strikes but Jameson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jameson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montales tries to avoid it but Jameson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montales to the ground. Montales escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Jameson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montales lands a jab-cross combination. Jameson fails to land the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Jameson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Montales misses with the combination.
Montales looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jameson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Montales checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Montales tries to bum rush Jameson with a series of wild strikes but Jameson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jameson is looking to clinch but Montales is avoiding it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jameson shoots for a takedown but Montales saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jameson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Montales.
Jameson shoots in but no luck this time. Montales tries to clinch up and Jameson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jameson wants to pass to mount but Montales is defending the position. Montales tries to get to full guard but Jameson has control of the leg. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Montales can do anything to dispel that myth. Montales wants to control the action here but instead Jameson manages to pass to full mount! Jameson scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Montales is squirming around, avoiding Jameson's attempts to control the action. Montales really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jameson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jameson breaks from Montales's wrist control and lands an elbow. Jameson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Montales has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jameson wants to control the pace but Montales is squirming around nicely. Jameson lands a heavy elbow. Jameson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Montales tries to hold on but Jameson pushes him away. Montales is looking to improve his position but Jameson isn't that keen on the idea. Jameson looking for a guillotine from mount but Montales is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jameson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Jameson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Montales forces Jameson back against the cage and clinches. Montales escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montales throws a one two combo.

Montales tries to clinch but Jameson moves away and Jameson counters with a takedown into side control. Montales is breathing heavily. Montales parries the strikes from Jameson easily there. Jameson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Montales to escape.
Jameson tries to advance to mount but can't. Jameson is working hard here to advance position. Jameson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jameson trying to control the action but Montales is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jameson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jameson is looking to take a break and control but Montales is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jameson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montales is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jameson looks up at the clock and then as Montales takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jameson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montales is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Jameson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Montales is trying to buck Jameson off. Jameson trying to control the action but Montales is working from the bottom. Jameson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Montales, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montales is trying to control Jameson's posture but Jameson avoids it. Montales is looking for a sweep. Montales is trying to buck Jameson off. Montales is not content to let Jameson control the position. James Jameson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Montales can't do much from the bottom here. Jameson trying to control the action but Montales is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Jameson dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Jameson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Montales. Jameson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Montales works over Jameson's head and body with a nice combination. Montales looks to clinch and Jameson counters with a single leg into guard. Montales didn't expect that. Jameson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jameson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Montales defend it? Jameson steps over the head and cranks it - Montales is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jameson!
