PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Man D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Bandana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandana is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Los del Rio - La Macarena. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bandana feints and as D raises his hands in defense, Bandana changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
D trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Bandana stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. D swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
D tries to land a sweep but no joy.
D trying to control the position.
Bandana is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
D looking for a sweep. Not yet D, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
D is working hard here to advance position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bandana tries to close the distance and clinch but D swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bandana instigates a clinch.
Bandana drops to a knee looking for a takedown but D gets the underhooks and prevents it.
D missing with knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
D throws a head punch that misses.
D gets underhooks to prevent Bandana's takedown attempt.
D prevents a takedown attempt there.
Man D has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dirk Bandana.
Bandana fails to pull guard.

Bandana jumps guard and drags D to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

D wants to control from the top but Bandana keeps moving.

Bandana looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but D is defending well. Bandana quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! D has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Bandana celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
