Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Henning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marquinhos Cunha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Henning might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In For the Count ( Perfect Twist). On his way into the cage it seems that Joe Henning has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joe Henning seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Henning! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marquinhos Cunha! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cunha doesn't manage to clinch there - Henning circles away.
Cunha gets a clinch. Cunha keeps control of Henning as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cunha prevents a takedown attempt there.

Henning jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cunha walks away with a smile on his face. Henning gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Henning fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cunha sprawls well initially but Henning persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cunha can do anything to dispel that myth. Cunha looks like he's trying to stand up.
Henning tries to stand and escape but Cunha is controlling the position. Cunha pushes Henning off looking to stand but Henning dives back in and keeps control.
Henning is keen to just control but Cunha is a slippery customer. Henning thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Henning has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Henning seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cunha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Henning is breathing heavily. Henning prevents Cunha from standing back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cunha tries to clinch up. Cunha avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Cunha would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Henning looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Henning lands a good elbow from the bottom.

Cunha tries to stand but Henning is controlling from the bottom. Cunha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henning. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Henning looking for a sweep. Not yet Henning, not yet. Henning is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Henning with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Henning stops Cunha from getting back to his feet.

Cunha is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Henning raining down shots from the mount! Cunha's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Cunha has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. I would not like to be Cunha right now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Henning working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cunha wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Henning moves into full mount! Cunha wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Joe Henning showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Henning, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
