Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Da Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavio Calosso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giant comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Calosso has chosen Primo Vittoria (Sabaton) as his entrance music. Da Giant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Giant drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Giant throws a strike but Calosso rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Calosso is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Giant is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Giant has escaped and now he's on top!
Giant scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Giant wants to control from the top but Calosso keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Giant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Calosso avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Giant trying to control the position from guard on top but Calosso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Giant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Calosso swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Giant with a flurry of punches that miss.
Calosso is trying to keep Giant in close.
Giant is working Calosso over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Calosso not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Calosso misses with a takedown

and Giant decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Calosso's guard.
Calosso is trying to keep Giant in close.
Giant distracts Calosso with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Giant looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Giant throwing strikes but missing.

Calosso is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Giant connects with a couple of short punches.
Giant trying to control the position from guard on top but Calosso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Giant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calosso on the ground.

Giant got a little sloppy there for a moment and Calosso has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Giant has managed to get both his arms back between Calosso's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Calosso not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Giant pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Calosso is keeping the position for now.
Giant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Giant slips nicely into half guard.
Giant is breathing heavily.
Calosso wants to get back to his feet.

Calosso looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Giant lands with a punch from half guard.
Calosso trying to hold on to Giant's head to control him but Giant postures up.
Giant misses with a head shot. Calosso uses the momentum to regain guard.
Giant thows a big elbow that misses.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Giant landing some decent shots from guard.
Giant looking to sit in guard and control but Calosso gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Giant wants to stand but Calosso is controlling the position.

Calosso drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Calosso as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Giant screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Calosso! Nice submission victory there!
