7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, MJ Penn! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Penn shoots in and drives through. Rivera sprawls well. Penn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rivera pinned against the cage. Rivera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Penn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Penn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rivera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rivera avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Penn. Penn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Penn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rivera sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pablo Rosa Rivera will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rivera throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Penn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rivera.
MJ Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rivera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Penn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rivera manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's going to take a lot out of MJ Penn. Penn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rivera as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pablo Rosa Rivera dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Penn gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penn drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rivera has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Penn is proving hard to escape from. Penn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
