Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Waara!
The referee warns Waara that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Waara is rocked!
McCarthy controlling from mount.
Waara bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Waara distracts McCarthy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Waara is in close to McCarthy's body, working some short punches and elbows.
McCarthy wriggles free and stands up.
McCarthy throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Waara stumbling backwards into the cage! Waara bounces back off the cage towards McCarthy, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! McCarthy lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! McCarthy celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mickey McCarthy!
