2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Rampaasi! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ubber tries to keep at a distance but Rampaasi has taken the fight into the clinch. A short left from Rampaasi.
It looks like Slick Ubber has been cut. Rampaasi stops a takedown attempt from Ubber.
Ubber blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slick Ubber. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ubber has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rampaasi uses from the top position. Ubber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rampaasi stands up from Ubber's guard - Rampaasi perhaps looking for a knockout. Rampaasi stuffs the takedown attempt from Ubber. Ubber gets slowly back to his feet.

Ubber closes the distance looking to clinch and Rampaasi counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ubber pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Rampaasi holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Rampaasi swings wildly with an uppercut but Ubber uses good head movement to avoid it. A frustrated look appears on Ubber's face as he tries to break the clinch. Ubber wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rampaasi misses with a hook from the clinch. Ubber is trying to drag Rampaasi to the mat but Rampaasi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Ubber is breathing heavily. Ubber with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Rampaasi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Rampaasi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ubbers head. Ubber throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rampaasi blocks it with crossed arms. Rampaasi stalls. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quinton Rampaasi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Slick Ubber's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ubber jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rampaasi walks away with a smile on his face. Ubber gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ubber tries for a takedown but Rampaasi circles away easily and Rampaasi counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slick Ubber. Slick Ubber's cut is getting worse. Rampaasi dips a shoulder and cracks Ubber with a mighty uppercut! Ubber falls back against the cage and Rampaasi unloads with a barrage of strikes! Ubber is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Rampaasi screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
